Light pastel blue liquid sand manicure

I've seen many swatches of liquid sand polishes from OPI's last collection lately. I really like them, but I still don't have any of them...  
So, I was pleasantly surprised to see that some girls tried to make a "home-made" version of liquid sand manicure :-) 
You can see a step by step tutorial made by Spektor's Nails in her post Tutorial: DIY Liquid Sand Nails and a beautiful version made by Missadelinne in her post Liquid Sand.

Of course, I wanted to try it too :-)  
My choice was a pastel blue nail polish and blue glitter powder and I followed the instructions in Spektor's Nails tutorial. I was satisfied with the result and the day that I wore this manicure I kept on looking at my nails and touching them over and over again :-)
I have to write also that it looked better in real life than on my photos :-)

Born Pretty Store Review: Half Pearls

This beautiful decoration set of half pearls was kindly offered to me from Born Pretty Store for this review. You can find it on their web site with this name Nail Art Colorful Half Pearls Decoration Set for Nail, item ID: 448.

This is a multi colour set of half pearls with flat backing, so they can easily be applied on nail surface. There are 6 different colours of half pearls, the colours match the picture colours. The size of these half pearls is about 1,5 mm, so they fit also small nails. They can be applied on real nails or on acrylic nails.

Applying these half pearls is very easy. You can use a moisturized manicure stick to pick up a half pearl and then put it on nail polish that is still wet or on a drop of top coat. Repeat with other half pearls until you finish the design and cover entire nail with top coat. 

So, they are really easy to work with, they are cute and very elegant!

Of course, there are many ways to use these beautiful half pearls, you can create various geometric shapes, hearts, flowers, or you can use them as details to embellish your manicure, it's up to your imagination.
