Born Pretty Store Review: Rhinestone Tortoise 3D Nail Art Decoration

This beautiful rhinestone turtle was kindly offered to me from Born Pretty Store for this review
You can find it on their web site with this name: 1pc Bling Luxury Rhinestone Tortoise 3D Nail Art Decoration, item ID: 10334.

There is only one turtle in the pack, it is made of alloy and it weights 3 g.
There are three different types of turtle available: silvery or golden turtle with transparent rhinestones as decoration, and dark steel coloured turtle with dark red rhinestones as decoration. I chose the dark steel coloured turtle because I like it the most and also because I like how those little dark red rhinestones match with dark steel colour of the turtle :-)

The application was very easy, when I finished my base manicure I put one generous layer of top coat and positioned my turtle where I wanted; when the top coat dried, my turtle was fixed on the nail, it "survived" my photo-session and some hours when I enjoyed seeing it on my nail.
However, if I should wear this turtle on my nail all day long, and it would be for some special occasion, I would definitely use some glue to be sure that it will stay fixed on my nail.

Here is my manicure, I wanted to reproduce the shell of my turtle :-) I used:
Kiko Laser Nail Lacquer n° 431 Fluent Red
black acrylic colour
NYC n° 138 Classy Glassy top coat

I hope you like my manicure and I hope you like the little turtle too! :-)

  4. Cute little turtle, but as you mentioned I don't think that it is for a dayle use, that mini turtle can get stuck very easily in clothes or hair, no?

    1. With a little bit of glue I think you can be sure that it won't "escape" from your nail :-) Yes, you have to be careful not to stuck it in your clothes or hair, but it's perfect for some special occasions, it looks incredible! :-)

    1. Thank you! :-)
I use normal brushes that I buy in my local stationary shop (very thin) and I use Born Pretty Store brushes, exactly this set: http://www.bornprettystore.com/acrylic-nail-paint-drawing-brush-p-465.html
It works perfectly for me, but I use it only for drawing with acrylic colours, so my brushes can have a long life :-)

  6. Preslatko! :D Svaka čast za ideju i kombinaciju boja, i sama sam upotrebila sličnu kombinaciju boja danas na svojim noktima za jedan dotticure.

    1. Thank you! :-) I guess I just got this inspiration when I saw the little turtle, so I tried to create the turtle's shell on my nails using the same colours that match it :-)

It seems like this turtle is trying not to be carried away with the wind, so it's trying to hold tight on my nail! :-)
The turtle is adorable, but I don't think I'll continue using it for my manicures, I see it as a little jewel and I'll find the right place for it in my house :-)
