BP UV gel polish n° 6051

Today I present you one more of wonderful BP UV gel polishes :-)

Born Pretty Store offers a really big choice of shimmering UV gel polishes, it is very difficult to choose just one or two of them :-)

You can find this beautiful BP UV gel polish on Born Pretty Store website with this name1 Bottle 10ml Born Pretty Shimmering Champagne Yellow Soak Off One-step UV Gel Polishitem ID: 24347
It has a beautiful champagne shade and amazing shimmer too! :-) I hope that you will like it as much as I do :-)

I didn't have problems working with it, the application was very smooth and what you see is three coats of BP UV gel n° 6051. As base and top UV gel polish I use BP UV gel base coat polish and BP UV gel top coat polishEvery layer of UV gel polish and UV base/top coat is cured 2 minutes in 36W UV lamp.

Of course, I like to wear my manicures "enriched" with some nail art, so tomorrow I will show you a little "extra" - some free-hand nail art that I added to this beautiful shampagne shade shimmering UV gel polish :-)

I remind you that Born Pretty Store has a free shipping worldwide, often they also make very nice offers too and, if you need some extra help, you are welcome to use my coupon code CYL91, to get the 10% off on all your Born Pretty Store orders! :-)

  1. It's pretty - but how long does it take to "soak off" these polishes?

    1. First I take off the shiny layer (UV gel top coat) with a rough nail file, I aso try to take off also the layers of UV gel colour polish as much as I can, taking care not to exaggerate and not to arrive to the nail.

Then I use a normal "soak-off" technique that girls use when they want to take off glitter polishes - I dip the pieces of cotton pads in acetone, put them on my nails and "wrap" everything with aluminium foil pieces.

After 10-15 minutes I put off everything and at that point the UV gel polish on my nails looks like some kind of "flakes" that I just take off with a wooden stick, without many problems.

I file my nails with gentle nail file, to take off the last traces of UV gel base coat and at the end I treat my nails and the skin around my nails with a generous ammount of cuticle oil :-)

It takes me about one hour to do everything correctly, with patience, not damaging my nails..

Of course, it's not true that you can use UV gel polishes as often as you want, using UV gel polishes means also filing the surface of your nails before applying the UV gel and after removing UV gel (and lately I abused a little bit, I admit), but I found UV gel manicures very useful this summer during my vacations, my "normal" manicure could never survive so long on my nails and UV gel manicure looked really good also 10 days after applying it on my nails :-)

    2. Thank you for this through reply.
You also can use the same base for several X stamping or painted nail art if you use a normal top coat after the nail art (not cure it) - så that's nice, if one os OK with the same color/s several days.
I see how it must be good on vacation - but still, I don't think I will dare to try it hahaha

    3. In last months I'm experimenting with UV gel polishes, some of them are perfect just like they are, some of them need some nail art or stamping... and it's going OK for the moment... I will continue working with UV gel polishes, I would like to learn to create some more difficult things that I saw in some videos, so beautiful :-)

    4. Yes, I have noticed, and I was wondering if you changed every/every second day, and if that would be too hard on the nails.
Yes, you are like me, when first started, we do not stop until we are satisfied :D

    5. Every day or every second day would be way too much for UV gel polish manicures, I guess that two-three times a month is something that could be considerated "normal" :-)
Yes, when I start doing something new, first there are a lot of frustrations and fails, but once when things start moving in right direction my "hunger" to learn more grows day after day :-)

    6. Yes, for most people that would be normal, but not for a blogger :D
So when you posted so many UV manis in I row I thought that you changed them so often ;)
      Yes, that's so true!
