Born Pretty Store review: Oumaxi 12pcs acrylic colours set - Harlequin carnival manicure

Today I present you this beautiful set of acrylic colours that I got from Born Pretty Store for this review. You can find it on their website with this name: 12Pcs/set New Nail Art Paint Acrylic Gel Polish, item ID: 18330.

I am sure that all the girls that follow me regularly know that when it comes to nails, nail polishes and nail art, my first love and still my biggest love is free-hand nail art :-)
I am very interested in trying new nail art brushes and acrylic colours, you will never hear me say "no" to them! :-) So, when I got this set of acrylic colours Oumaxi it seemed like a precious treasure to me!

Nail polishes are viscous and it's more difficult to draw with them, that's why I like working with acrylic colours, with them I can get more detailed nail art designs :-)

This set has 12 Oumaxi acrylic colours and their capacity is 12ml, perfect size for storage. The set is very pretty, it could be called a "rainbow set" :-) These acrylic colours works with all types of nail polish, UV gel, acrylic nails and real nails, but they can also be used on paper, brick, wood and other similar materials. These pigments are a water based acrylic and it is recommended to use a top coat to seal your nail art designs.

The paints are very smooth and it don't dry too quickly when you put them on your working plate palette. They have a very good texture for nail art. Some of these colours are a little bit more fluid then the others, but the difference is not very big and you can get the right consistency by adding a drop of water. They are very well pigmented and the colours are very nice and vivid.

If you like drawing on your nails and you're searching for a nice set of acrylic colours, I can strongly recommend this Oumaxi 12 pcs acrylic colours set! :-) And you are welcome to use my coupon code CYL91 to get 10% off on all your Born Pretty Store orders :-)

Today is carnival day and it's a perfect occasion to use all the beatiful and cheerful acrylic colours for a nice carnival manicure! :-)
So, here it is, my Harlequin carnival manicure, I hope you like it! :-)

  1. I tried them years back, but found them way to "dry"/not as fluid as I prefer an acrylic paint to be.
Also I remember that especially the yellow and a few others were really poorly pigmented, I needed to add white or several layers of the color for opacity.
I love the mani you created!

    1. Thank you, Maria! :-)
Some of the colours are more fluid than the others, but I don't have many problems with this. I think that generally it's very difficult to find a good pigmented yellow (and some other colours) that covers in one layer...

    2. I prefer the more fluid ones, but can water them down. But I really dislike the less pigmented ones, fortunately I have quite a few brands with well pigmented yellows, so I guess I'm lucky LOL

I hope that I will storage these acrylic colours well, or that I will use them often so they will not get the opportunity to dry out..! :-)

  6. genijalna manikura <3
imam srebrnu oumaxi bojicu i da znaš da uopće nisam zadovoljna, baš je loše pigmentirana, drago mi je da su 'obične' bojice bolje :D

    1. Nemam srebrnu, a generalno sa srebrnom i sa zlatnom uvek imam problem sto slabo pokrivaju... Ove bojice nisu lose, neke su vise a neke manje pigmentirane, mislim da ce mi dobro doci :-)
